This early Navajo bracelet came into the gallery and it has a few interesting components that I wanted to talk about. First off, it’s ingot silver which tells us it’s old, probably early 1900s. Second, the there are a few stones that look like they could have been replaced at some point. They are round, lack any matrix, and don’t quite fit the bezels. These are probably jade if I had to guess. Regardless, this is an excellent bracelet and a great example of early Navajo ingot silver jewelry. #na
