“Tankyū tumas.” — “Thank you very much” in Bislama, the language of Vanuatu. For many of the elderly in Tanna, Vanuatu, access to medical checkups was hard to come by. Through the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) program, Lingap sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity), they received free medical care and eyeglasses — easing their struggles and bringing hope, one kind act at a time.
