I’ve always loved singing duets with gifted artists. They inspire me in unique and different ways…and make our time in the studio a joy! My new album, The Secret Of Life: Partners, Volume Two, gave me the chance to work and play with some of my old friends, label mates, and new artists too. Recording this album with new and familiar friends was a joyful experience! I chose the title, The Secret of Life, because I thought James Taylor’s philosophical lyric was particularly inspiring. As the years go by, I’m learning that “the secret of life is enjoying the passage of time.” It’s a reminder that, despite the daily news which we can’t ignore, we still need to stop and smell the roses…and I love, love roses!
