Police chase out of north Charlotte ends in Spartanburg County

Philadelphia City Hall is being evacuated after a police K-9 detected a suspicious package inside the building, police say. Stay with CBS News Philadelphia as we follow this developing story.

Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday morning outside a Wawa on Route 37 in Toms River, New Jersey. Multiple agencies, including the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and local police, responded to the active crime scene around 7:20 a.m. Aerial footage shows a pickup truck with a seemingly shattered window cordoned off by police tape. Investigators have not yet released the victim's identity or announced any arrests as they work to establish a motive.

Five people were arrested after #Anaheim police served a search warrant at an indoor #swapmeet Wednesday morning as part of an investigation into the alleged sale of illegal pills, including sales to minors. Investigators allege the vendors were selling Farmapram, a foreign brand of alprazolam, the generic form of Xanax, without prescriptions.

Newly released body camera footage shows the firefight between Minneapolis police and a gunman at Shoreline Plaza (formerly Loring Towers), where two people were killed before officers arrived. Police say the gunman then opened fire on responding officers, striking two before officers returned fire.
