According to The American Fellowship of Cowboy Churches, the “cowboy church” is a growing phenomenon across the country. Avoiding long sermons and "churchy" words, it’s country music, tents, and rustic fence visuals emulating cowboy culture! One of the largest of these churches is the Cowboy Church of Ellis County in Waxahachie, Texas, where, amidst a church calendar of prayer meetings, worship, and Bible study, is a mix of barrel racing and roping practice, as well as this summer’s “Cowabunga!”
