China’s Tianhe-2 retains fastest supercomputer title The International Supercomputer Conference held in Frankfurt, Germany, announced on Monday that China’s Tianhe-2, or Milky-Way-2, had retained its title as the fastest supercomputer in the world. This is the fifth time that the Tianhe-2 has topped the list of supercomputers since June 2013. Developed by China’s National University of Defense Technology, the first phase of the supercomputer was completed in 2013. The second phase is now underwa
