The search for a woman who fell from a Taylor Swift-themed cruise ship in the Bahamas was suspended Wednesday, a day after she went into the water, officials said. The U.S. Coast Guard said Wednesday afternoon that Royal Bahamas Defence Force was suspending its search pending new developments, and it no longer needed the Coast Guard's assistance.

Despite extensive search and rescue efforts by the Royal Bahamas Defense Force with assistance from the U.S. Coast Guard, the woman remains missing. The defense force confirmed to TMZ that the 66-year-old woman jumped from the 14th floor of the ship and subsequently called off rescue efforts.

A new Taylor Swift-themed cruise was meant to be a celebratory occasion for fans of the Grammy-winning superstar, but the party quickly turned to tragedy after a passenger fell overboard and went missing.
