The reasoning for it, though, might be a bit unconventional. “As quiet as it’s kept, I enjoy watching Red Sox games … because of Cora,” Betts said, referring to the Red Sox’ manager. “I love Alex Cora and I enjoy watching Red Sox games.”

Mookie Betts was traded by the Boston Red Sox to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020, but still watches his former team when he can.

Mookie Betts has won two World Series since the Red Sox traded him to the Dodgers in 2020, but the 8-time All-Star said he still loves Boston and Alex Cora.

While strong teammates now on the Dodgers, Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts were once bitter rivals in the World Baseball Classic.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been linked to star third baseman Nolan Arenado at various points since the 2023 trade deadline. However, as spring training draws closer, Arenado is still a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.
