People are beginning to dig out from the July 8 Ruidoso floods, as forecasts warn of potential rain for the weekend.
"We have lived here 21 years in Los Lunas, and I've never seen it out here like this," Kitty Adams told KOAT on Thursday after her yard was severely flooded.

New Mexico will see both heat and flooding concerns in the coming days following last week’s rainfall, which brought slight improvements to the drought in the southern part of the state. Meteorologist Carter Greulich with the National Weather Service’s Albuquerque office described the coming days as “a rinse-and-repeat-type week” during a weather briefing Monday.
Texas officials say 161 people are still considered missing after devastating July 4 floods. But the count of the missing may not be very precise.
A flash flood warning was released by the National Weather Service on Monday at 7:06 p.m. in effect until 9 p.m. for Allegheny and Butler counties.
