A rumor claiming tech entrepreneur Elon Musk said he bought Amazon — the retail, media and technology company founded by fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos — circulated online in late 2024. According to social media posts and YouTube videos, Musk supposedly said, "I just officially bought Amazon."

According to the lawsuit, X says that Twitch has not advertised on the platform in the U.S. since November 2022. As Business Insider reports, X cites a GARM document in its lawsuit that mentions an "executive endorsement" from Twitch regarding GARM's brand safety standards.

The Elon Musk-led X (formerly known as Twitter) continues to spawn one controversy after the other as the social media giants have now sued Twitch. The lawsuit is reportedly part of X’s ongoing legal battles with similar companies over their advertising woes.
