It is completely unremarkable that someone who grew up in Berwick like Verse wouldn’t like or would feel no connection to the Eagles.

It’s safe to say Jared Verse won’t have many friends in Philadelphia after his recent comments about Eagles fans. Ahead of Sunday’s playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field, the Rams’ rookie edge rusher unleashed on those who will be in the stands in Philly.

The Eagles and Rams faced off in Week 12, and Saquon Barkley got the best of the Rams defense by rushing for 255 yards and two touchdowns. While it was a home game for the Rams, Verse remembers Eagles fans' harsh words for him before the game.

Verse, the Rams’ first-round draft pick out of FSU (No. 19 overall), who has been an impact player with 4.5 quarterback sacks, made it very clear that he “hates” Eagles fans.

Los Angeles Rams star rookie edge rusher Jared Verse is not afraid to speak his mind — and create some bulletin-board material for the Philadelphia Eagles along the way. And if the Lincoln Financial Field crowd wasn’t going to be hostile enough for the NFC divisional-round game, it will be now.
