Residents in western Chester County, Pennsylvania, are on alert after residents spotted a bear on their home surveillance cameras this week. The bear was seen in the Cochranville and Highland Township area on Gum Tree Road and then on Hilton Road, resident Brittany Hoilman said on social media.

A bear was caught on camera in downtown St. Augustine. St. Augustine police posted the video to Facebook, warning residents and visitors to keep an eye out for it near the Lincolnville area. The video shows a small black bear climbing over a wall.

Authorities were searching Monday for a black bear that killed a man and a dog in South Florida. The attack occurred in a rural area east of Naples, just south of Big Cypress Wildlife Management Area, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said in a statement.
