Republicans appear to be changing their views on immigration policies, while the majority still support President Donald Trump in the way he is handling the issue.A new poll from Gallup Friday shows a steep drop among Republicans wanting immigration levels into the U.

The poll finds underwhelming marks for him on key issues, including the economy, immigration, spending and health care.

About 49% of Americans said Trump’s policies have done more to hurt them than help them, according to the new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research that was released on Thursday. In comparison, just 27% said Trump’s policies were doing more to help them and 22% said the policies have not made a difference.
