While the findings are positive overall, survival increases since the mid-1990s are especially notable for more fatal cancers. For example, survival rates for myeloma, a bone marrow cancer, jumped from 32% to 62%, liver cancer from 7% to 22% and lung cancer from 15% to 28%.

Colleen Hoover, the famed romance and thriller author who penned "It Ends With Us," revealed in an Instagram story Monday that she is receiving cancer treatment. "Second to last day of radiation!" Hoover wrote in the post, which included a photo of her wearing black sweats under a teal hospital gown.

On Tuesday, Kate Middleton visited the hospital where she received treatment for cancer in 2024 and shared that she's now in remission.
