Squid Game” was a huge hit for Netflix, but the man behind the juggernaut South Korean drama is sharing that it wasn’t all roses for him.

Squid Game may just be about to return with season 2, but a third season is already on the horizon. Earlier this year, Netflix confirmed that their most-streamed show of all time would be ending with season 3, and the creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has revealed some new details about the ending.

Season 2 of the Netflix hit premieres Dec. 26. Despite his teeth falling out from the stress of production from season 1, Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk is stepping back into the arena for a second season.

"Even though the first series was such a huge global success, honestly, I didn't make much," Hwang Dong-Hyuk told BBC.

On Sunday, Nov. 10, Dong-hyuk, 53, revealed in an interview with the BBC that he lost several teeth while filming the first season of the hit Netflix show — which follows people in debt as they play deadly games to win a monetary prize — all due to the strain of shooting it.

Speaking to the BBC on the set of “Squid Game” Season 2, Hwang said he actually lost eight or nine teeth during the first season. As a result, Hwang vowed to never put himself through such kind of pressure again,
