Two rounds of winter weather are hitting the Metro Detroit area and now schools across the state are announcing snow days for Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, snow is scheduled to begin falling tonight and end Wednesday afternoon. Total snowfall is estimated to be about 2.5 inches, but there will be rain mixed in as well, making slippery travel conditions.
