Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni pushed back on the criticism toward A.J. Brown after the wide receiver was reading a book during a playoff game.

A.J. Brown had a novel idea to pass time on the bench during Philadelphia’s wild-card playoff game. The Eagles wide receiver passed on the playbook and checked out an inspirational title — Brown casually ignored the action on the field and flipped through the pages of “Inner Excellence” by Jim Murphy.

The Eagles will play the winner of the Rams and Vikings game in the divisional round of the playoffs next Sunday at 3 p.m.

Both teams are entering this game after covering against the spread (ATS) in their respective wild-card wins, with the Eagles winning as favorites and the Rams upsetting the Vikings as underdogs. Philadelphia is 12-6 ATS this season, while the Rams are a respectable 10-8, according to covers.com.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed linebacker Nicholas Morrow to the practice squad on Tuesday following Nakobe Dean's season-ending injury. The team also placed Dean on injured reserve. Dean suffered a torn patellar tendon in his knee in Philadelphia's 22-10 win over the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round of the playoffs on Sunday.

The Eagles are preparing for the NFC Divisional round and announced five roster moves on Tuesday, including placing star linebacker Nakobe Dean on injured reserve. Dean was carted off in the second ha
