Ukraine’s top-ranked player Elina Svitolina defeated Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina in the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid, winning 6–3, 6–4.

The Madrid Open 2025 will reach its sixth day of competition with the round of 16. No. 1 seed Aryna Sabalenka and No. 2 seed Iga Swiatek will take to the court to earn a place in the quarterfinals.
