The office of Ald. Timm Knudsen (43rd) said there is reason to believe the shooting was an isolated incident, and the victim and the shooter knew each other.

The man, 34, approached a group of people, and an argument ensued about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of North Clark Street, police said. He was shot in his chest and hospitalized in critical condition.
