Phillip opened her show with a pointed history lesson after Michaels’ and Trump’s remarks reignited debate over how slavery is remembered.

President Donald Trump recently took to Truth Social to argue a similar point, criticizing American museums that discuss "how bad slavery was," calling them "woke" and "out of control."

“The Smithsonian is OUT OF CONTROL, where everything discussed is how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was…” he wrote in a Truth Social post.

Michaels claimed that “Caffeine was NEVER banned on The Biggest Loser” and that Dr. Huizenga “did approve caffeine pills on many seasons” of the show.
