CTA reports minor derailment of Yellow Line train at Howard
The CTA said Monday night there was a minor derailment of a Yellow Line train at the Howard Station near Evanston. About 7:40 p.m., the CTA and the Chicago Fire Department escorted riders from two trains to nearby platforms, according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.

“Future phases of RPM would include fully reconstructing Howard Station and the entire 3.3 miles of Purple Line track structure and stations from Howard to Linden,” Kilgannon stated in an email.
The northbound train was leaving the Howard station about 6:05 p.m. when it experienced a "minor derailment," according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.

CTA employee shot, injured while working outside Red Line Howard Station
An on-duty CTA employee working at the Red Line Howard Station was hospitalized late Tuesday after a shooting outside the terminal in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood, police said.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, the Yellow Line train crashed around 10:40 a.m. on the 7500 Block of N. Paulina, where the Howard CTA station is located.
