Incumbent Michelle Salzman once again defended her state House District seat, beating her Democratic opponent Franscine Mathis. Salzman first took on Mathis in the 2020 election, where Salzman captured about 65% of the vote.

In the Florida House District 34 race, a first-term Republican incumbent overwhelmingly beat an out-of-town Democrat challenger. Voters sided with Robbie Brackett, a lifelong Vero Beach resident and former mayor, over his opponent Joseph Martinez, of Coral Springs. District 34 includes all of Indian River County and part of Brevard County.

Matt Gaetz (R-FL) pulled off a clear victory against Democratic opponent Gay Valimont. He secured 65.6% of the votes to Valimont’s 34.4%, with 66% of the vote counted, as of 8:14 p.m., when the Associated Press called the race.
