Akash Deep took six wickets as India crushed England by 336 runs to level the series at 1-1 on Sunday after they bowled out the hosts for 271 to claim their first test victory at Edgbaston and Shubman Gill's first win as captain.

India's win at Edgbaston is also the first time they levelled a series in England immediately after losing the first Test. They had lost the first Test in 13 previous series in England and went on to lose the second Test in six series and drew it in seven series.
