California Attorney General Rob Bonta Monday, Nov. 4, announced that the state of California has filed a lawsuit against the city of Norwalk. “Norwalk has violated multiple components of the housing law in California,” Bonta said during a press conference.

The lawsuit ratchets up a conflict that has already seen Norwalk lose its ability to kill large housing projects.

An ugly standoff between the state of California and the city of Norwalk over homelessness has now worked its way into the court system.
