Summit County is now under a Lake Effect Snow Warning from 4 p.m. Wednesday through 4 a.m. Friday as some snow squalls could create hazardous driving conditions. Anywhere from 2 to 5 inches of snow is expected in Greater Akron with higher amounts possible in northern Summit County.

The National Weather Service says a powerful cold front is expected to cross northern Ohio this week. Greater Akron is under a Winter Storm Watch starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday through 4 a.m. Friday. The Arctic front is expected to bring some general snow — up to three inches in Akron — and more lake-enhanced snow to the battered lakefront communities east of Cleveland.
