The New York Jets made some important picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, and here is one player in danger of losing his starting job.

The Eagles have hired former Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan as a personnel executive, the team announced on Wednesday. Maccagnan was New York’s GM from 2015-2019. He was fired by the Jets after his fourth season with the team.

The Jets are going to look much different in 2026 than they did in 2025, and that should be a good thing because they went 3-14 last year.

While the specifics of the 2026 NFL schedule remain unknown, the New York Jets’ opponents are clear, and the strength of those opponents — at least based on last season’s record — is also understood.

The Jets seemingly aren't handing the job over to Cade York, who will have to prove himself in a kicker competition before the summer ends.
