Four men charged with fraud and money laundering offences connected to a missing loan to a League One football club have appeared in court. The former chairman of Northampton Town FC, David Cardoza, is accused alongside his father Anthony; property developer Howard Grossman and his son Marcus; and another man, Simon Patnick.

A Sussex man has appeared in court after an alleged fraud linked to a multi-million-pound stadium redevelopment loan.

Four of the five individuals charged over the alleged £10 million theft from Northampton Town Football Club appeared in magistrates’ court to face several counts of fraud and money laundering.
