Two Republicans endorsed by President Donald Trump will win their special primaries Tuesday, moving one step closer to bringing Speaker Mike Johnson a little breathing room for the GOP’s narrow majority in the House.

Voters in four Central Florida counties have chosen the Republican and Democratic candidates who will compete in a special election to fill the U.S. House District 6 seat previously held by Mike Waltz.

Florida will hold two special election primaries on Tuesday to replace President Trump’s national security adviser Mike Walz in the sixth congressional district and former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) in the first congressional district.
