SEATTLE, Wash. – Jan. 7, 2025 – The Seattle Kraken announced today that the team will host a two-game prospects showcase with the Vancouver Canucks in September 2025. The games will feature both teams’ top young players and will give fans an opportunity to witness future Kraken players up close.

SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Kraken announced Tuesday that the team will host a two-game prospects showcase with the Vancouver Canucks in September 2025. The games will feature both teams’ top young players, allowing fans to witness future players up close.

The two-game showcase in Seattle will mark the beginning of a multi-year agreement between the two franchises

The Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks announced they will play a two-game prospects showcase in September of 2025.

KING 5 and KONG are the official local television partners of the Kraken, bringing the hockey team to free over-the-air live television. The stations will air 72 of the team's 82 regular season games. National broadcast partners will show the remaining 10 games.

The Seattle Kraken placed Daniel Sprong on NHL waivers, the team announced on Wednesday. Within the next 24 hours, NHL teams have a chance to claim him. Otherwise, he'll be sent down to the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds.

Alex Turcotte scored twice and notched an assist as the Los Angeles Kings thumped the struggling Vancouver Canucks 5-1 on Thursday.
