The Vancouver Canucks have officially locked up a big part of their core. With his current deal expiring at the end of the 2025–26, the Canucks agreed to a three-year, $8.5M AAV contract extension with goaltender Thatcher Demko.

The Vancouver Canucks signed goaltender Thatcher Demko and forward Conor Garland to contract extensions Tuesday.Demko's new contract is for three years with an $8.5-million cap hit. Garland's pact is for six years at a $6 million average annual value.
