DELAND, Fla. — Police in DeLand said an Orlando man is facing charges after a possible road rage shooting. Officers said 22-year-old Daniel Duarte is facing several charges after shooting at people over the weekend. The shooting happened early Sunday morning on North Woodland Boulevard and New York Avenue.

A driver in DeLand has been arrested after he allegedly shot at another driver who honked at him for driving slowly.

Channel 9 is contacting county leaders around Central Florida to gather more details on shelters opening this week. Two cold-weather shelters will open on Thursday and Friday evenings, providing refuge for people experiencing homelessness. Doors will open at 6 p.m. to offer overnight shelter Thursday and Friday.
