The Jaguars fired head coach Doug Pederson on Monday following Jacksonville’s Week 18 loss to the Indianapolis Colts and the franchise’s 4-13 2024 season, team owner Shad Khan announced in a statement. The Jaguars are retaining general manager Trent Baalke, who will assist Khan in finding a new head coach, the statement read.
The Jaguars also have interviewed Tampa Bay Buccaneers OC Liam Coen, former New York Jets coach Robert Saleh, Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, Kansas City Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo and Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn.
Pederson is out as Jacksonville’s head coach after the franchise’s “best team assembled” won just four games, though owner Shad Khan did opt to retain general manager Trent Baalke. The Jaguars have lost 18 of their past 23 games dating back to last season.
