Floods impact Barcelona as MotoGP considers Valencia replacement
Barcelona has been hit with red weather warnings as flooding impacts the city, with MotoGP set to head there in two weeks to close the 2024 season. The Catalan city has been hit by flooding this morning (Monday 4 November), and a red alert warning of ‘Extreme Danger’ has been issued.

Barcelona replaces Valencia to host the MotoGP season finale
MotoGP has confirmed that the 2024 curtain closer will be held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Cataluny which replaces Valencia. The race will take place on the original dates of the season finale: the 15th to the 17th of November.

Valencia MotoGP Cancelled Amid Devastating Floods
Much of Spain has been hit by extreme weather for the past week, with the Valencia region being one of the worst hit. Indeed some parts of the Ricardo Tormo circuit have been completely washed out, with access roads collapsing and huge amounts of damage making it difficult to see how a grand prix weekend could go ahead.
