Two people were killed and a third was injured when a U.S. Civil Air Patrol plane crashed in Colorado's Front Range Saturday morning.

A Cessna 182 plane crashed in Northern Colorado's Palisade Mountains in Larimer County on Saturday resulting in the death of at least two people, the sheriff's office confirmed. A video from the crash site surfaced on social media showing the aircraft lying amid the woods on the mountain slope.

Two members of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) died, and another was injured when a small plane crashed in Colorado’s Front Range on Saturday morning. The Cessna 182 aircraft went down near Storm Mountain and Palisade Mountain west of Loveland around 11:15 a.m. The plane was on a training mission focused on aerial photography, officials said.

A news release from the governor's office identified pilot Susan Wolber and aerial photographer Jay Rhoten as the deceased. Randall Settergren, identified by Gov. Jared Polis as the plane's co-pilot, was rescued via a Colorado Army National Guard helicopter, the release said.
