A life-threatening bomb cyclone is barreling towards the Northeast — threatening to slam New York City with even more snow and a record-breaking stretch of subfreezing temperatures. STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — This weekend’s nor’easter is forecast to bring 1 to 3 inches of snow and gusts of up to 40 mph to New York City, according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Tom Kines. The storm is also classified as a bomb cyclone, as it is expected to rapidly intensify.
