After losing a franchise-record 14 games last season, the Giants have the 3rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

NFL draft opened with fairly obvious expectations for the New York Giants, who held the No. 3 overall pick. True to those expectations, the Giants selected Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter with their first pick but then things became far less certain.

The feeling of being drafted by the New York Giants was surreal for Penn State's Abdul Carter, who dreamt of the moment in his sleep as a kid. "I don't remember the exact pick, but I remember (there) being a screen with my name on it," Carter told reporters after Round 1 of the draft. "It's hard to believe but it is true."
