TREMONTON, Utah — Two police officers were killed and another injured, along with a K-9, after a suspect opened fire following what was described as a domestic disturbance Sunday night in Tremonton. The unidentified suspect is now in custody while the officer who was not killed and the K-9 are reported to be in fair condition.

Officials with the City of Tremonton are speaking on the loss of two officers and the impact on their community.

The killings unfolded after police in Tremonton, Utah, received "multiple 911 hangup calls," and a single officer from the Tremonton Garland Police Department responded to the residence. It wasn't immediately clear whether the first officer to respond was Sergeant Sorensen or Officer Estrada.
