Lahore: Air pollution levels in Lahore have soared to unprecedented heights, with the city's air quality reaching 40 times the World Health Organisation's (WHO) recommended safe limit, sparking public concern and health warnings.

Not Delhi but Pakistan's Lahore has become the world's most polluted city with an Air Quality Index of 1,900 on Sunday, which is its highest ever.

Lahore's air quality has reached critical levels with an AQI of 1067, nearly 122 times above WHO guidelines. Defense Phase 8 records the highest AQI at 1853. Experts warn of severe health risks, advising citizens to limit outdoor exposure and use masks.

Lahore, Pakistan, experienced record-breaking air pollution on November 2, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 1,900, six times higher than the World Health Organization's limit. The Pakistani government attributed the surge to winds carrying pollution from India and seasonal crop residue burning.
