IndiGo's lawsuit claims that Mahindra Electric's use of '6E' in its upcoming BE 6E electric car could cause consumer confusion and dilute IndiGo's brand identity.

Airline major IndiGo on Tuesday filed a trademark infringement suit against Mahindra Electric Automobile over the use of the term ‘6E’ in the name of its upcoming electric car. The case was filed at the Delhi High Court after Mahindra named its upcoming electric vehicle as ‘BE 6E’. The case is slated to be heard again on December 9, 2024.

Mahindra launched the BE 6e coupe electric SUV, along with XEV 9e last week at a starting price of Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
