Panama has released dozens of migrants deported from the United States who were held for weeks in a remote camp on the condition that they would leave the Central American nation in 30 days.

The deportees, largely from Asian countries, were part of a deal struck between the Trump administration and Panama and Costa Rica last month as the U.S. government attempts to speed up deportations.

Thailand acted in accordance with human rights when it sent 40 Uyghurs back to China last week, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra told reporters on Monday.
