FEMA is expected to perform a damage assessment, the next step toward a presidential disaster declaration that would authorize federal aid.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will arrive in Wisconsin on Thursday, according to Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.

FEMA is coordinating with Wisconsin officials to assess flood damage in the southeast region, a key step toward securing a federal disaster declaration.
