The New York Liberty have shockingly prevented the Las Vegas Aces and reigning Most Valuable Player A'Ja Wilson from returning to the WNBA playoffs again.

Despite the win, Aces coach Becky Hammon didn't hide her frustration with the officiating. Wilson shot only two free throws. She averaged 7.2 attempts from the charity stripe in the regular season. In their series against the Liberty, the MVP has only taken 10 free throws.

The Aces now face the challenge of winning three straight WNBA semifinals games versus the New York Liberty if they want a shot at a three-peat championship. Las Vegas lost Game 1 and Game 2 of the WNBA semifinal series to the Liberty. The two teams play again Friday.

Less than 24 hours removed after her team was eliminated from the WNBA Semifinals by the rival New York Liberty, though, it's safe to say Wilson's trademark sense of humor was fully intact regardless.
