The White House will reopen its doors for public tours on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, with an updated route offering guests the opportunity to experience

People can now select gender-neutral pronouns when contacting the U.S. government, as President Joe Biden signed a raft of executive actions on his first day in office, including an order tackling discrimination against LGBT+ people.

WASHINGTON — The White House will reopen its doors to the public in December for public tours, even as demolition and construction of the East Wing is still underway. According to a press release the tours will feature an updated route.

A new sign has appeared outside the Oval Office at the White House, according to a photo posted by CNN’s White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins. Newsweek reached out to the White House via email for comment.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that Trump “speaks pretty frequently” with Modi and maintains a “very positive” outlook on U.S.-India relations.

"The site is under construction" is a sign that could greet visitors peering through the fence at the southeast corner of the White House, trying to catch a glimpse of where the East Wing once stood. Instead, those are the words greeting visitors to the websites of several companies working on building the White House ballroom.
