As Hurricane Milton takes aim at Florida, many Publix locations in the Bay Area are reducing hours and closing stores ahead of the storm.

Florida locals are stockpiling sandbags and wooden boards and clearing out supermarket shelves and petrol stations ahead of Hurricane Milton. Video filmed in Fort Lauderdale showed empty shelves at a Costco store in Fort Lauderdale on Monday (Oct 7).

Multiple Publix stores in St. Lucie County, Martin County, and Indian River County are modifying their store hours in preparation of Hurricane Milton.
