Pepsi is planning to debut a brand-new flavor this month, marking its first “permanent” addition to the brand’s beverage portfolio in four years. That last “permanent” flavor, meanwhile, is being phased out.

Pepsi is getting extra wild and extra sweet while jumping a new food flavor fad with its new permanent flavor, Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream.

The latest permanent Pepsi drinks come just months after Coca-Cola discontinued its cherry vanilla flavor on Sept. 4. The drink company posted the announcement on X that they discontinued Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla “due to consumers' taste preferences and lifestyles constantly changing.” They also discontinued Diet Coke with Splenda in September.

Pepsi has pretty big news for people who love the soda (Coke fans, feel free to disregard this article). The brand will very soon be releasing a new — and permanent — flavor.

The original Pepsi Wild Cherry has been around since 1988, so it’s only natural that the brand would seek to put a distinctly modern twist on the nostalgic soda. In fact, Pepsi points to the recent resurgence of fruit-forward flavors as one driving inspiration behind the development of the Wild Cherry & Cream offering.

Calling all Pepsi lovers, it’s time to raise a toast to 2025! The cola giant has just announced its newest creation: Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream. Launching nationwide this January, Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream combines the bold citrus flavor of Pepsi with indulgent cherry and creamy vanilla for a nostalgic twist.

Pepsi will drop a new permanent flavor which adds a "silky" and "creamy" flourish to an immensely popular, fan-favorite flavor.
