Pepsi is planning to debut a brand-new flavor this month, marking its first “permanent” addition to the brand’s beverage portfolio in four years.

Pepsi is getting extra wild and extra sweet while jumping a new food flavor fad with its new permanent flavor, Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream.

The latest permanent Pepsi drinks come just months after Coca-Cola discontinued its cherry vanilla flavor on Sept. 4. The drink company posted the announcement on X that they discontinued Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla “due to consumers' taste preferences and lifestyles constantly changing.” They also discontinued Diet Coke with Splenda in September.

The original Pepsi Wild Cherry has been around since 1988, so it’s only natural that the brand would seek to put a distinctly modern twist on the nostalgic soda.
