I want to use Hiren's boot CD mini-xp to install the drivers for a new mobo that uses the original CPU and memory. The old board was an Asus M4A79T Deluxe that died... I ordered an Asus M5A97 LE R2.0.
As the title says, upgrading from a 4-year old Intel (10th gen) setup to Ryzen 7950X3D. Running Windows 11. I know Windows is a lot better at dealing with hardware changes but this is a drastic change ...
In most cases, you can install the drivers for the new board while still on the old board. The main drivers to get are the Chipset (IDE/SATA/USB), Video (if changing cards), Sound, Network and BIOS.
