Before Arch Manning even takes his first snap as the Texas Longhorns’ starting quarterback this season, fans, draftniks and NFL scouts alike are wondering whether he’ll declare for the 2026 NFL Draft.

This is a decidedly different sort of draft class than the one we saw a year ago. It's chock-full of quarterbacks, edge rushers and offensive tackles -- three of the four highest-paid positions in the NFL currently (with wide receiver being the other).

The NFL preseason just concluded, and there is a full season ahead for the New Orleans Saints. With expectations mighty low and the excitement for a long-term quarterback in next year's NFL draft, it is worth looking ahead to next spring.
