Margaret DePriest, an actress-turned-soap-opera writer who earned five Daytime Emmy nominations over a storied career spanning decades, has died.
Margaret DePriest died "peacefully" in her New York City home on Sept. 29, according to a local obituary. She was 94. Her daughter, Sara Kimbell, also confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter. DePriest was both an actress and writer who "helped define daytime's golden age," per the obituary.
