A wave of extreme wind will move into the Western New York region to kickoff the weekend Friday, with a High Wind Warning posted for the Niagara Frontier and gusts of 55 to 60 mph in the forecast.
A High Wind Warning has been issued for parts of Western New York to include Chautauqua county until 5 a.m. Saturday, and the Warning has been extended for Erie, Niagara, Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming counties until 11 a.
